There are people you are going to meet in this life that no matter how much you invest in them by wisdom, they will never yield themselves to understanding. Because after they have learnt sound knowledge, they listen to wrong knowledge elsewhere and will still walk in a set of wisdom you never taught them. This spirit has led very many people to stray from their divine destinies.
The verse shows us that a simple person believes everything. But the wise man considers properly what is set before him. I have seen people who made decisions in confidence, thinking they are guided by wisdom, but in the long run, they found themselves in a deep hole of stagnation and confusion because they didn't know how to sift and weigh everything they hear.
Wrong knowledge always sounds right until it has to put a destiny ahead of you, and you realise that's the only thing it won't provide.
Wrong knowledge most times is agreeable because it's reasonable. Because all simple people dwell in the realm of reason. But true wisdom dwells in separation. For example, it's easy to believe the world is flat because it only makes reasonable sense, but those with extra understanding will discover it's a globe.
Until a man exits the realm of reason, that man continues to abide in fallen wisdom. One wise man said the best way to test wrong wisdom is to see how comfortable it makes you. If it's not stretching your faith, if it's not teaching you something new, it's not wisdom.
