WISDOM IN CRISIS

September 22, 2022

Matthew 27:13-14 "Don't you hear all these charges they are bringing against you?" Pilate demanded. But Jesus made no response to any of the charges, much to the governor's surprise." (NLT)

One of the things that destroys weak minds is the mentality that they have a great reputation to keep. In so doing, they do everything to protect a good image before the world; to which they do not discern that if they hated Christ, they will hate them as well. Likewise, if they loved Christ; there will be some who will love you.

The verse shows us that when the death of Christ was near; having brought him as a criminal before Pilate, he answered him not on all the charges. The Christ we worship today was a criminal charged to death for those in his generation. He was a man without reputation and humble in death.

The more reputation there is to you to keep, the lesser the glory there is upon your life.

Recently in the tragic events of England receiving a new crown King; the king is sadly already under much scrutiny because he is that great. When your life is heading no where, you will always appear perfect until the day greatness rests upon your shoulders. Then you will learn that those with a great name actually bear no reputation.
