1 Kings 19:10 "And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, [even] I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away." (AMP)

History is not the only teacher but is certainly a great reference for those with wisdom. When God raises men because of the limitation of their mind being human, they start to adore their abilities and often times forget the frailty of their life. The likes of Hitler and Alexander The Great should have served a better lesson even to us who are in the body of Christ. It is not possible that God can command a whole dispensation by a single voice. This is the error that has overtaken our fore fathers.

When you study the scripture, it shows you a place where Elijah the great prophet came through to God with a complaint of how they sought to kill him but also added that he was the ONLY prophet left who has not bowed the knee to baal. Whilst our modern day ministers may not speak this way, but it becomes evident that they carry the same mind such as Elijah had. This is why the mantle of Elijah could not get past Elisha because this type of spirit does not seek to multiply but to elevate it's dominance.

Notice that immediately after Elijah was done with his epilogue, God speaks to him to anoint Elisha in his place. This clearly indicates that God was not amused with such arrogant talk. Relate this to our present time; God in all his vastness determined to reveal himself to us as the body of Christ and we as members, and he tells us to each supply to edify the body. The body cannot be edified with one office but all.

A dispensation is given away when you hear men speak proudly to be the only carriers of the mandate of God.

However, we bless God who not only has made us wiser than our teachers before us. But has dealt with us in the wilderness, enough to know what mistakes not to walk in. God is raising a generation of Christians that are kingdom minded and wise enough to understand that we together as a church are the body of Christ; learned enough to know that we are our brother's keeper. Never cultivate a mind in you that you are the arch minister of the vast grace of God. You are simply a part, this is a trustworthy saying that ought to be accepted.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for opening our eyes daily to the possibility and the vastness of your grace. AMEN
