Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (KJV)

Sonship is not a concept of identifying with a particular group of people, but rather, a concept of what set of instructions runs your system. This is why biology checks for DNA in the paternity test because they look for a set of instructions in a man's system that govern how they live, and these must be similar to their parents.

The verse shows us that those who are led by the spirit are the sons of God. This means that if the spirit leading you is not the spirit of God, you are not the son of God because it is the spirit of God that knows the way of God to guide those who are of God.

Sonship is predominantly about the set of instructions that guide a man.

Most people are led by their personal agendas in life and yet claim sonship. It takes a man to examine who is leading him, to know whom he is serving. When you join a prayer group, ask yourself; was it the spirit of God that led you there? If it was not the spirit, you joined it because you desired a personal gratification. When you are taught and you do contrary, ask yourself; was it the spirit of God that you were obeying the whole time?

True ministry begins when we submit ourselves to the leading of the spirit.
