Topic : The Plight of A Minister

1 Corinthians 4:6 “And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.” (KJV)

One time I observed a young minister of the gospel, who got carried away by the praises of his congregation. Men were telling him how great he is and he seemed to enjoy the show. When I saw it I advised him not to take it seriously because soon the same people will change their mind and insult him. The young man seemed to think I was jealous of his ministry, soon after they had started to disregard his leadership and he was in trouble.

Paul speaks of the wrong that men of Corinth had began to purpport, dividing themselves along the lines of men. So he corrects them and emphasizes that himself and Apollos are but mere ministers. Every man of God must understand how to deal with praises of immature believers. For with the same measure they praise is the same measure they will pull you down.

True ministry begins when you learn to hear God away from men.

Always spend time in the presence of God in so much that when God speaks to you, you know beyond the doubt that it was him. This will serve the difference in the day of reckoning. Build your life in the sure foundation of Gods wisdom.

Prophetic Declarations.

Hallelujah. Amen
