TRUE LIBERTY

July 7, 2022

John 8:33 "They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?" (KJV)

There are people who seem to never understand what true liberty is or looks like. One wise man said, "do the hard things today so that you enjoy the easy life tomorrow." In other words, be eager to do the seemingly harder things now so that you can have it easy later on.

The verse shows us that when Jesus had told the Jews that if they know the truth it will make them free, they opposed him saying they are Abraham's seed and have never been in bondage. This same spirit seems to still be at work in some people today.

True liberty is when you learn to walk in your purpose.

Take for example; a child who refuses to finish school because of little inconveniences that come with the school routine but spends his entire life struggling for a lack of education. Such a one does not understand true liberty because he seeks to be comfortable in the interim, but missing the bigger picture.

Wisdom will teach you to enjoy the hard grilling process of liberty, that you will do to the dot the things that will provide for your future freedom and avert the folly that comes from claiming false achievements. Many people still claim to be free when the truth is that they do not realize that you cannot have true liberty, if you don't stand in the truth.
