TREASURES IN EARTHEN VESSELS

January 11, 2024

Topic : The Treasure vs. The Vessel
2 Corinthians 4:7 "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." (KJV)

To receive of the ministry of God upon his servants, there has to be a great knowledge demonstrated from the receiver. God does not use angels to carry out his mandate on earth but men. This is why it is important to understand that the message is not the vessel. Therefore, the treasure is the message and not the vessel.

The scripture shows us that God has put this treasure in earthen vessels. This means the vessels are corruptible, but the message is incorruptible. This is the great paradox of receiving that a fragile vessel can be entrusted with a great treasure.

Any man who will receive of the ministry of Christ, must separate the treasure from the vessel.

Does this justify that the carriers of the gospel ought not to live a life consistent to the truth? Not, but we must never fail to grow in God because a minister contradicted the word. Be delivered from people, if you can be offended of the gospel because of the life of a minister you didn't know God from the start.

Prophetic Declarations.

Hallelujah. Amen
