God designed life in such a way that purpose precedes provision. If you approach life with the goal to build houses, drive nice cars, start a family you will soon discover that those very things do not necessarily bring bliss to life, yet it’s true that when mixed with purpose, they can be very satisfying things.
The verse teaches us to find a life goal and make it the object of your attention, then you can be moved to establish these things. You can have a nice car but if it is not backed up by a reason that makes you wake up every day, depression can be your portion. You may have a good job but without a good reason, you may not have the zeal to wake up in the morning.
The call of God vindicates the possessions of life because it gives them purpose.
Men ought to understand that secluding yourself from the work of God for personal comfort will only make you a stale being. This is why we labor to be relevant in the house of God unto every good work. Life is built on the premise of knowing God.
