Acts 18:26 "And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto [them], and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly." (KJV)

The bible tells a story of Apollos a man who was eloquent, mighty in Scriptures; a man who was instructed in the Lord that boldly taught in the synagogue although the bible shows us that he only knew the baptism of John. To which when Aquilla and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and expounded the way of God more perfectly.

I have been serving God for enough years to notice that many people who are boldly teaching and eloquently affirming truths are but mere babies in God. That a man is eloquent or mighty in scripture, does not mean he knows the way of God. Many spiritual people have chosen to follow logic rather than understanding the way of God.

You can quote verses and feel Christian and still not know the way of God.

When the bible says Apollos only knew the baptism of John, it tells you a lot about Christianity today. People only know God based on what their mind can process in his word. This is why they are limited in their operations in God because they only know a truth they can defend. To them, God should be logical. If their little mind cannot reason out a matter, to them, it becomes false regardless of how much you labour to expound to them the way of God more perfectly.

Many, therefore, have submitted themselves to inferior doctrines and teachers who speak; what makes sense to the mind but does not contribute to their actual growth. This type of Christianity has birthed a half-baked generation that is not willing to serve God, that cannot pray, neither interpret the meaning of life so they end up depressed and mentally ill because they followed teachers that preached reason rather than the true gospel.
