The unstable spirit does not manifest in one way as many tend to think, but rather in all things. Have you ever asked yourself why those who change courses eventually change work places and the cycle never ends? This is because they carry an unstable spirit. They may have reason every time they do this, but one wise man once said; 'No one will ever be impressed by the quality of your excuses.' You may have a solid reason for changing your mind, but if it's going to make you unstable then it's not good enough a reason.
The verse teaches us that a double minded man is unstable in all he does. This is why to conquer the unstable spirit, you have to understand the depth of humility and the greatness of wisdom to seek focus.
You cannot be wise and be unstable. Instability and double mindedness dwells with the simple.
Wisdom assures you of a destiny beyond the storm and light; beyond the darkness. Consequently, you draw hope from what you see and not what you are dealing with. This is the wisdom that makes wise men stand.
Therefore, today as you conclude this fast, pray that your steadfastness is not anchored in wins but is strengthened in storms. For you will never be able to know success when all you do is give up when you're tried.
Prophetic Declarations
Heavenly Father, we thank you for you give us beauty for ashes, you give a crown of joy for sorrow. For when we abide unfaithful, you remain steadfast. AMEN
