Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

One of the five main spirits that have been sent out into the church is the spirit of mammon. This is a very serious spirit that has encompassed the church of God and if not checked, can bring the whole body of Christ to its knees.

The verse shows us that no one can serve two masters at ago, because it says God is a master and mammon is a master. The word Mammon comes from the Greek word Mamona which means, "Material gain or money". Jesus warns us to not be enslaved by material gain.

Money is a good servant but a horrible master.

Therefore, as a child of God; you have to have a clear understanding on how to have an actual balance when it comes to money. Know how to use it to serve you as opposed to it enslaving you.
