THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE

July 20, 2023

#12DAYS to #LIC2023

Topic: Wisdom and Prudence
Ephesians 1:7-8 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;" (KJV)

A true believer is not examined by the state of their physical life but rather, the state of their spiritual life. It matters how a man is progressing concerning spiritual things. The outward life of man may be perishing but as long as his spiritual life is flourishing; this man stands to see the promises of God.

So the verse shows how God openly gives us the riches of his grace. He says he abounds us in all wisdom and prudence.

It's one thing to have wisdom, it's another to have prudence. Wisdom is the ability by which men apply that which they have learnt whilst prudence is that innate discipline to govern oneself in wisdom.

Having wisdom without discipline is like having a bank without security.

To walk in God's fulness and experience all the riches of his grace, you must carry that ability to discipline yourself in areas where God is growing you. Mastery never comes by assumption.
