THE REVELATION OF THE NAME OF GOD

January 23, 2023

Exodus 6:3 "And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them." (KJV)

There is an African saying, "The young see the world in the boundaries of their home." Which means what a person knows is the extent of their experience. That you personally read the word and prayed and experienced a few miracles does not mean that you experienced the totality of God.

The verse shows us that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew God as God Almighty. He never revealed to them his name as Jehovah. This means God can choose to reveal himself to you to the extent of your mandate.

When a man's assignment is great, God reveals himself greater than he does other men.

This is why if you ever want to grow in God, let your faith be established in God and not in the God of your understanding. This is because your interpretation of God could be limited to what God revealed to you yesterday.
