Topic : A Work Man

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (KJV)

As a student of the word of God, I observe people who know the scripture yet they use it for all the wrong reasons. Some use the word to win doctrinal arguments, others use it to show how deep they are; others use it to get titles to be honored both in their homes and family gatherings. A few people really know the true purpose of studying the word.

The scripture tells us, that we study to be approved unto God and be a workman that cannot be ashamed. This means that when a person looks at your work, it should speak that you know God. When a person considers your family, it should speak God. The word is supposed to give you that life it speaks about.

Knowing the application of the word is more important than simply reading it.

Child of God, knowledge without application is a chronic pain. Study the word until it creates in you the life it speaks of.
