Topic: Obtaining The Promises of God

2 Corinthians 1:22 "and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first instalment that guarantees everything he has promised us." (KJV)

Every believer is a candidate for the promises of God.

This is why it is not for a believer to cry for miracles because they are bread to the children. Therefore, if one is not walking in the promises of God, something is primarily not right.

The verse shows us how we have been given the Holy Spirit as a deposit, an installment of the things to come.

He is the guarantee that God will bring upon you his promises.

Whatever God will do in you will begin with the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.

That's why when we pray, we pray in the spirit; when we sing, we do so in the spirit. When you walk in the spirit, you are positioning yourself for God's promises.
