THE PLACE OF EMOTIONS IN MINISTRY

May 13, 2023

Topic: Understanding God
Luke 22:42 "Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

One of the things that we learn from Christ is the way he managed to live in this body of flesh; how that he obeyed God even when it was not very convenient for him. With a great ability to rise above his emotions and reach for God's will.

The verse shows that Jesus prayed, for the cup of suffering to be removed yet not his will but God's will to be done. We see that in great agony, he understood that he would be publicly executed yet looked for the glory that was beyond the cross.

The essence of salvation is to bring you into a life beyond emotions.

Many people have found themselves in a place of an ungodly life simply because they did not move past their emotions. Some days you have to pray to have God's will upon your life fulfilled beyond your emotions.
