THE MYSTERY OF WITNESSING

August 23, 2022

1 John 1:1-3 "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen [it], and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ." (KJV)

Have you ever asked yourself why a believer you think is mature in the things of God cannot win souls? Yet one who does not look the part seems to get the work done? Well, it takes more than just head knowledge to share the word of God.

The verse shows us that John witnessed that which he first of all heard; secondly saw; thirdly handled. You can never minister what you have never heard, neither seen nor handled. Regardless of how much you assume to know, you can never impact a neighbour if these three dimensions are not unlocked.

The mystery of witnessing is such that you experience what you witness.

The three dimensions of witnessing become fully active when a man learns to walk in God on purpose, such that he can understand what he sees.
