Romans 9:16 "So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy." (KJV)

When man is pursuing the things of God, most pursue his miracles; some pursue his power but few understand that pursuing the author of these all is more rewarding than the miracles themselves. Therefore, some receive these things but find no joy in the things they once pursued.

The verse shows us that it's not of him that wills, not of him that runs, but of him whom God reveals his mercy and grace. When God reveals his mercy to you, he has revealed himself.

When God shows you kindness, he has shown you his face.

This explains why the most impactful of our time were not the most hardworking, neither were they the most qualified; but the most graced. God is committed to showing his mercy.

This last part of the year, open your heart to walk in God's unfailing love and grace. You cannot know God and be an average man.
