THE GLORY OF MATURITY - RESPONSIBILITY

July 1, 2022

Isaiah 6:8 "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here [am] I; send me."

There is a place in life when a man decides it is time to mature. Such a man puts childish ways behind him and begins to walk as a mature man. In that moment, it is not about giving political answers or speaking to impress but rather a resolve to see to it that whatever he is doing is experiencing real progress.

The verse teaches us of the response of Isaiah the prophet when God asked whom to send. At this point, even though Isaiah had discovered he was a man of unclean lips, he was ready to be used of God because he discerned a great opportunity to a second chance.

Men who make progress stop giving excuses and take responsibility.

As men of focus, avoid people who still want to waste their own time in sounding intelligent and get on with executing ideas, purposes and lasting solutions. God is not impressed with men who walk on in circles but simply asks; Who shall I send?

Therefore, taking responsibility and getting on with God's business, is a sign of maturity. Until God reveals it to you that the complacency of the human beings brings them to a place of stagnation, you will work slack. But, the moment wisdom is invested in you in abundance, you begin to focus on real goals and not mere talk.
