Psalms 119:96 "I have seen that everything [human] has its limits and end [no matter how extensive, noble, and excellent]; but Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity]." (KJV)

Everything human has an end regardless of how excellent. Parents understand that no matter how conducive they make their home, their children will leave it to start their own. This wisdom therefore must guide men as they build lives to understand what it is they should focus on.

The verse shows us that it's the commandment of God that is exceedingly broad into eternity. This means you cannot curve your life around human excitement because it has an end.

Your dedication to a thing should be informed by the commandment of God.

Before you invest yourself in that work, that family, in that person, in that friendship; find out is it in the commandment of God concerning your life, if it is not it will soon end and often time in shame. But if it is in the commandment of God it will spring forth in honor and glory because it carried with it perfection from God such that those that benefit acknowledge the working of God.
