THE BURDEN OF THE GOSPEL

June 23, 2022

John 21:15 "So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs." (KJV)

Serving God is not something one can attain by a degree, or an appointment, or by sheer will. This is a mandate that simply falls on those who by reason of revelation receive the burden of God.

The scripture above shows us that Jesus placed this burden on Peter when he asked him to feed his lambs. By reason of qualification, Peter wondered why John was not apportioned so. And this is the answer we seek to give today through this teaching.

The burden of ministry in the gospel falls upon men who dare to risk their faith.

You will observe that Peter often time stood up for the gospel when everyone was still in fear. He was vocal and expressive about what he stood for. This did not only set him as the bold one but won him favor and trust before God. Thus the burden fell upon him.

Therefore, the burden for ministry in the gospel will never fall upon you if you do not cast yourself upon the Lord.

Prophetic Declarations

Heavenly Father, I thank you because you have revealed this truth to me and have made me stand out in this generation. AMEN
