PRAYER AND FASTING - DAY SIX

August 6, 2025

Topic : GOD’s VIEW ON FAMILY

Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (KJV)

The family is not just a social unit—it is a spiritual institution designed by God to reflect His glory on earth. From the Garden of Eden, God ordained the family to be the foundation of society, a place where love, faith, instruction, and legacy are cultivated.

Joshua stood boldly before the nation of Israel and declared his household’s commitment to the Lord. In a time of spiritual compromise, his declaration was not just personal—it was generational.

God doesn’t just want to save individuals—He wants to redeem entire households.

As believers, we are called to make our homes centers of worship, learning, service, and love. A family that prays together, learns together, and serves together is a stronghold against the schemes of the enemy.

Prophetic Declarations

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of family. Help us build our home on the foundation of Your Word. Let love, peace, and faith abide under our roof. Strengthen our unity and help us to reflect Your kingdom in all we do. May our family always say like Joshua, ‘As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.’ In Jesus’ name. Amen
