2 Timothy 1:9 "Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"

Most times when people think about Salvation, they assume it is a human idea or an alternative to a lifestyle. You will often hear those who are saved say, 'I am born again, I nolonger go to clubs.' This alone does not justify that you are saved, because there are many groups of people who do not club but are not saved. Therefore, there is more to Salvation than a change of behavior.

The verse shows that God has saved and called us with a holy calling. What this means is that Salvation is so much a plan of God than it is a plan of man. He worked it out for us that we should be different.

Salvation is a special gift, a holy calling that is given to those who accept it.

Having understood this; no man therefore, can boast because he is born again neither treat it as something light. But rather, there comes a burning desire to share the good news of the Kingdom of God with others; that they too may be participators in the life of God.
