Topic : The Greatest Commandment

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (KJV)

This world has set many things at bay, that are going to bargain for your love for them. And these things are enjoyable, they are convincing but at the end of the day, a man must realize he was not made for the world but the world was made to serve him. You cannot therefore choose the things of the world to dominate your heart.

This is why Jesus began to teach his disciples to love God with all their hearts, with all their souls and with all their minds. Three spheres that are highly important to tame before God. The heart, the soul, and the mind. Where a man’s heart is, that’s where his treasure is.

You can know a man who loves God when you see how he responds to the world.

I have always taught people, you know you love God by how you respond to a challenge or a breakthrough in your life. Problems and breakthroughs expose a man’s true character. If something very bad is able to turn you away from fellowship with God, then there was no God in your heart from the beginning and likewise; if big news is able to change your relationship with God, there was no presence of God to begin with.
