LEADERSHIP - THE EXTENT OF DELEGATION

June 23, 2022

Nehemiah 7:2 That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he [was] a faithful man, and feared God above many." (KJV)

One of the principles of leadership is delegation; the process of passing of authority to another person. This is very key in establishing strong leadership.

We see the verse speak of Nehemiah transferring the administration of Jerusalem to his brother Hanani and Hananiah after the walls were built. To be in-charge of the palace and the gates because they were faithful men and feared God.

True delegation ought to be to faithful men who are God fearing.

The principle of delegation stands on two pillars; faithfulness and responsibility. If a man does not establish himself faithful, he ought not to be entrusted with leadership.

Prophetic Declarations

Heavenly Father, I thank you because you have given me the ability to be a faithful Steward of your mysteries. AMEN
