Amos 8:11 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:" (KJV)

Salvation in it's entirety hinges on the back bone of hunger. I have been young and now am old and yet I have not seen a man who has stood before God continually for years that did not have an immense hunger for the word of God.

The verse gives us a promise that days are coming when God will pour out a hunger for the words of God. When the word says a time is coming, it means that we can define that time. Some will continue to quote that verse in hope that a hunger will come but unto us who are hungering for the things of God; that time is now.

A spiritual man can bring time to it's fullness by reason of hunger.

Therefore, there is going to be a great hunger for the word of God in this season as the children of God pour out their faith before him in his presence. This is the generation of hungry men.
