Topic : When A Novice Leads

Ecclesiastes 10:16 “Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!” (KJV)

Many times I have labored to distinguish for people the difference between wrong/fallen knowledge from the true knowledge of God. Every where truth is, there is a lie developing. Some people for a lack of commitment to the things of God wrongly apply biblical principles.

The verse shows us that some nations have children for kings. Take for example, the principle of fathering and mentorship. You may be on the market seeking a mentor but you must be mature to find a man who is grounded in the gospel and not an infant. This doesn’t concern age but seasoning in exploits.

There are serious consequences when one patterns himself after men who carry no pattern at all.

The office of an overseer is a serious office and not every man has the ability to be your overseer. Always take time to have the right judgement even as you seek to glorify God with your decision.
