1 Timothy 4:14 "Do not neglect the gift which is in you, [that special inward endowment] which was directly imparted to you [by the Holy Spirit] by prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands upon you [at your ordination]." (AMP)

A human body cannot go so long without food nor water; that nourishment is necessary for a human being to stay alive and men do everything necessary to keep their bodies nourished. However, often times men ignore their spiritual nourishment which is the gift of God.

The verse teaches that one ought not to ignore the gift of God in them. The gift of God is supposed to be activated, so that the spiritual life of a believer can be healthy. He says that spiritual gift was received by impartation and prophecy.

Spiritual maturity begins by acknowledging the impartation that you received.

As a child of God, you can forget anything but do not forget the spiritual gift that you received when the elders laid hands on you. Paul charges Timothy to remember the gift which he received. Child of God ask yourself, what are you activating? The gift of God or the issues of life? For what you honor will return to you a life consistent to it.

Father God, we thank you because you are bringing us into remembrance of our spiritual gift and you are causing us to grow in our spirit man. Amen
