Acts 13:2 “As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” (KJV)

In every generation God reveals his heart to a few individuals. He gives them a glimpse into what must be. This experience does not just happen; it is evoked by serious prayer and devotion.

We see in the verse that while these men prayed and fasted before God, the Holy—Spirit said separate for me Barnabas and Saul. Such great commissions can only come from the presence of God. These men were able to know the assignment of their friends by the spirit.

Certain commissions can only be received in prayer.

Only by prayer do men develop courage to walk into spiritual assignments. Such boldness is supplied in a place of prayer.
