Luke 17:17-18 "And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger." (KJV)

When Jesus had entered in a certain city after he found 10 lepers which he cleansed. Only one who was a samaritan returned to give thanks to God. This amazed Jesus because he wondered how a stranger could return to give thanks while the Jews that were cleansed with him did not find it fit to return.

In my few years of ministry I have observed an ungrateful spirit at work in many people, that they are very entitled to an extent that they can never recognise that it was God who dealt with them in the first place. They seem to claim their own victory and exclude the hand of God.

It takes a humble and wise soul to know that you are indebted to God for what He has done for you.

When a man is not wise he can not see that what he has, he has got because of God. Therefore, he finds reason to explain why he is what he is and strongly believes he is not indebted to God. It is that type of entitlement that God sees and never increases such people so they continue to roam from relationship to relationship from business to business from place to place because they can never discover why they were made what they were made.
