Topic : Personal Growth Vs Family Growth

Numbers 14:12-13 "I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they. And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear [it], (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)" (KJV)

Many people today would rather have two shirts than share one with a family member. Someone can have school fees for his children covered till they are adults but would not care a bit that the children of his neighbour can not afford a pair of books. This mind of personal care has destroyed the future of nations and cities.

The scripture shows us a man, Moses, whom God promised to make greater and mightier than all Israel. Instead of accepting that offer; he pleaded for all Israel. This is too deep. This explains why some men are far greater than nations. History would have been different from what we know it to be now.

A man through wisdom can sustain the existence of an entire race.

This is why we tell people, yes, you got a chance to testify against your brother, yes you can end their life, yes you have a point they are disappointing. However, a great legacy is better than personal victories. Learn to put a your family ahead of your agenda, learn to put your nation ahead of your personal scores, learn to put your ministry ahead of your personal interest.
