There is a way God wants ministry to be done when he calls a person. There are certain experiences that ought not to be a part of the journey of a Christian's destiny. Trials are good but they should be trials that perfect faith but never struggles that affect the faith of the believer.
When you study the scripture above, you discover that Barnabas and Saul were sent unto Seleucia by the Holy Spirit. They did not go there because it was convenient for them.
Ministry of convenience is never instructed by God.
This explains why when your calling truly springs from the throne of heaven, you do not serve God because it is convenient for you but rather because you are instructed. This also explains why most Christians do not enjoying serving God because they do not serve from a place of instruction but convenience.
Therefore, they open their bibles when they want; they go to fellowship when it most suits their programs; such a mindset does not mature a believer. A believer is likened to a soldier who simply lives upon the command of his master and seeks to please him only.
When you mature in the things of God, ministry is done based on God's purpose for your life and not an escape to a convenient routine.
