DAY FOUR: MONTH OF PRAYER

1 Chronicles 4:10 “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

Most children of God have a very unbalanced view of earthly wealth; they seem to think it is wrong to be blessed. So they would rather settle with being honored than being blessed.

However, in the verse we see that Jabez being an honorable man more than all his siblings; refused to just have honor without a blessing. He asked God to bless him and enlarge his territory; a thing that God granted him.

Honor without a blessing is a reproach.

Do not only ask God for spiritual blessing but also physical blessing. The Bible says elsewhere, “He has blessed us with all blessing that pertain to life and godliness.” God understands that you are in this world and you need to live a glorious life.

As we pray today on our fourth day of prayer; ask God to increase you, give you work, increase your income and bless you indeed.

Oh that you will bless us oh Father, and make us a success in this world that we would glorify your name. AMEN
