FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD

July 6, 2023

Topic: Understanding God Personally
1 John 1:3 "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ." (KJV)

Whilst no man can indeed know God except there is a preacher. There is also a place where a baby after he has been born to be weaned from milk. Therefore, it's expected that after the gospel has been preached to you, you take the personal initiative to know God personally.

The verse shows us the mind in which the disciples of Jesus preached the gospel. They were teaching men to have fellowship with the Father. Unfortunately, most people in Christianity have their fellowship with men but have no fellowship with God. Therefore, they are ever on a constant search for what another man can explain but are never truly able to draw knowledge in the presence of God personally.

The goal of all preaching is that a man should have personal fellowship with God.

This explains why most believers can not take personal responsibility for their growth because they are dealing with a God they do not understand. Until a person can sit down and understand God for themselves; they can never fully live a true Christian life.
