FASHIONED AFTER GOD

September 22, 2022

1 Peter 1:14 "As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:" (NLT)

You have heard of the concept of being comfortable in your skin; a secular mind that seeks to make people grateful for who they are. The children of darkness seem to have understood this principle better than the children of light. From which it's actually derived.

The verse shows us that as obedient children, we must fashion ourselves after God and not the past life. This desire to look and sound like the world has eaten up the body of Christ. The world determines how we dress, how we speak yet we are the children of light.

You cannot obey God truly and have a resemblance with the world.

A true Christian must be a pace setter and not a mere conformer. This is why you have to learn how to set yourself apart.
