Stretching Yourself : Breaking Barriers

Luke 22:42 "Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." (KJV)

Many people do things that either make sense or are in their scope of reach. Most will tell you, 'If i get a signal l will do it! Some go ahead to wait for an emotion within. All this is good and commendable, however; there is a place where one can stretch himself even when there is no sign, even when there is no inner witness. Just pure desire to break forth. When Jesus was going to the cross, he knew it was the very reason he came on earth. But being a man living in the flesh, there is no preparation for death. Yet he prays; "not my will but yours be done." Men who observe the wind never sow. On certain days, you do not need to observe any winds to make your decision. Some days you will have to move against your will, against your comfort zone to be able to reach your desired goal.

Until you are able to live above your comfort zone or your familiar territory—a life of purpose remains at a distance. A true servant of God knows how to get himself up and ride against a contrary tide having faith that when it is all said and done he will stand.
