Topic: Power to be a witness

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (KJV)

Most believers now days no longer witness the gospel to their neighbour. Some hardly believe it's even possible to share the word with another person. Therefore, they go about their day just like every other person.

The verse, however, shows us that there is power that we receive when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. This is the power that causes a man to be a witness. It comes with the boldness to share the word of God.

It takes power to witness the gospel to your neighbour.

Today, it's very important to avoid living a life before people as a common man because everyone is a candidate of the gospel. This is why one must be careful not to be dragged in work place intrigue, business fights, and any petty thing that might hinder the gospel.
