DAY TWELVE: PRAYER AND FASTING

1 Samuel 30:6 "David was now in great danger because all his men were very bitter about losing their sons and daughters, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the Lord his God." (KJV)

Most people, when life does not go their way just like the men of David; they quickly find a person or a thing to blame because its always easier to ascribe your frustration to an object. A few people can lift their eyes to God in that moment.

The verse makes it clear that now David was in VERY great danger because people wanted to stone him for losing their children. Regardless of the great danger David was in, his heart did not seek someone or something to blame but encouraged himself in the Lord.

Those who know God find their strength in him alone.

God will always promote you because he saw your unwavering trust in his ability but man who quickly runs away from a trial will always find himself back where he started. Therefore, take time to endure through the trials for the crown set ahead.

As you pray today, pray that in the moment of your greatest danger, you know your God as your deliverer personally.
