In preaching the gospel, we do not only preach to the souls of men but also to the powers that rule the cities of men. You can not claim to have preached the gospel when the demonic altars of that city still stand.

We see Paul when he preached the word in Ephesus, even their gods like Diana lost popularity among the people. If there are any altars in your city that stand; until they are broken, you have not preached the gospel.

Effective evangelism will alter the culture of a city.

Therefore, a true minister of the gospel must carry not only the mandate to preach but the wisdom to effect cultures and business as usual. This is why prayer is very key in establishing a successful ministry of evangelism. This is how territorial spirits are defeated.
