Topic: The Place of Prayer

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (KJV)

When we are raising a generation of ministers, strong in witnessing the gospel; it is important to understand that it all begins with prayer. It is through this that the souls of men are prepared for receiving the gospel.

The verse begins by showing us that there is power that must be received before one becomes a witness when the Holy Spirit comes. Power to witness comes through prayer.

Attempting to preach the gospel without prayer is like driving a car without fuel.

Unless you have the necessary authority in the spirit, you can not witness the gospel to those around.

This is why a true minister of the gospel takes time to pray for the haverst. Today, take time and pray for the souls of men, God will guide you to reach out.

Every day, spare at least one hour on your knees and cry to God about the souls of those who have not known him, those who have wondered from the truth.
