As we shared in the first part we discovered that it is important to stay in places where we are promoted. In this second part, we are looking at discerning the men who bring promotion in these places of authority. Yes, you can be diligent at your work place, and truly due for promotion but if you are not in good books with your bosses; this can affect that promotion.
The verse shows us that when Joshua served Moses, he never left the tent of meeting where Moses spoke with God at. Many people are good at what they do but not so many people are great at creating conducive relationships with their supervisors. This ability confirms a man’s readiness to be promoted.
The relationship of every student with their mentor is determined by the student.
I see many people who being under great leaders assume that a man is going to come and call them and then tell them what they ought to change to be better and afterward promote them. As a student, understand that it’s your responsibility to reach out to your mentor. It is your responsibility to show your relevance with men of power. This is why Joshua never left the tabernacle even when Moses would leave. This means that even if Moses was not picking his calls, Joshua found a way of keeping in touch. You can never know this and be average.
