DEVELOPING A GODLY ATTITUDE

September 17, 2025

The Mind of Christ in Every Season

Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” (KJV)

A godly attitude is the posture of the heart and mind that reflects Christ in every circumstance. It is not shaped by situations but by the Word. Where the world reacts with pride, anger, or despair, a godly attitude responds with humility, patience, and faith. It is the fragrance of Christ in the believer that causes men to see God through you.

Attitude is the lens through which you interpret life.

Two men may face the same trial, yet one complains and the other worships. Paul and Silas, beaten and thrown into prison, chose a godly attitude—they prayed and sang hymns at midnight, and heaven shook the earth to release them (Acts 16:25–26). A godly attitude invites divine intervention.

Developing a godly attitude requires renewing the mind daily with the Word (Romans 12:2). It calls for humility, esteeming others better than ourselves (Philippians 2:3). It demands gratitude, for a thankful heart sees opportunities where others see obstacles (1 Thessalonians 5:18). It insists on trust, believing that all things work together for good to them that love God (Romans 8:28).

A godly attitude is not automatic—it is cultivated. It grows in prayer, it is sharpened in trials, and it is perfected in obedience. When your attitude reflects Christ, you carry peace in storms, joy in trials, and faith in uncertainty. This attitude becomes a testimony more powerful than words, drawing men to the God you serve.

Prophetic Declaration

I declare that I carry the mind of Christ. My heart is renewed, my spirit is steadfast, and my words are seasoned with grace. I will not be shaped by circumstances, but I will reflect God’s nature in every situation. I choose humility, I choose gratitude, I choose faith. My attitude shall glorify God, inspire men, and attract heaven’s favor upon my life.
