Joshua 5:13 "And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, [Art] thou for us, or for our adversaries?" (KJV)
When Joshua prepared to conquer Jericho, we see he was watching over the city. When he beheld a strange man, he was awake, consumed with the purpose of Conquering Jericho. It is important to watch and pray if you consider taking a territory.
The verse shows us that Joshua asked the man if he was for Isreal or against it. To which the man responded as the commander of the Heavenly hosts. To take territories you must understand it takes a man to be a watcher. Joshua had it in him to fulfil God's purpose; that's why we see that he looked upon Jericho waiting for God's instruction.
Today as we pray, take time to lift your eyes towards our nation, towards our cities and pray that God gives you power over any spiritual entity that governs the doors of your arrival. Whether it is in business, ministry, work or education. For greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
