‍Topic: How Women of Old Sustained Marriages

‍1 Peter 3:6 "It was thus that Sarah obeyed Abraham following his guidance and acknowledging his headship over her by] calling him lord (master, leader, authority). And you are now her true daughters if you do right and let nothing terrify you [not giving way to hysterical fears or letting anxieties unnerve you]." (KJV)

‍Whilst statistics of divorces are rising and the land seems not to know what the causes might be, we always find answers in the word. A woman aspiring to start a family must carefully think about what she intends to enter. You cannot have the foundation wrong and have the building stand.

‍The verse shows us that Sarah the mother of all believers; when she was married to her husband, she obeyed him as Lord. Setting a principle that if a woman is not able to see her husband as her Lord she should not attempt to accept a marriage proposal from such a man because she will not flourish in that marriage.

‍Many women are unhappy because they married men they do not respect; whilst this is the primary fuel for a happy man in a home.

‍No matter how spiritual a woman is, if she doesn't respect her husband; that marriage is dead.

‍Therefore, the lady must understand that to become a daughter of Sarah, one that builds a family; this mindset is very important. This means the lady takes her learning from her husband, she formulates her life perspective from the guidance of her husband. All marriages that fail begin with different visions of life.

‍Every woman should marry someone whom she is willing to follow.
