Topic: Knowing How You Ought To Conduct Yourself

1 Timothy 3:15 "But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." (KJV)

The church of God has never been a place where people should run away from but rather run to. Whilst everyone is welcome as they are, there is a way a church going believer ought to conduct themselves in the house of God. There should be a big difference between a believer who goes to church and a believer who doesn't have a local church.

The verse shows how Paul instructed Timothy to take time to study how people ought to conduct themselves in the house of God. Even to understand that the church is the pillar of truth.

The church of God must have truth on how life ought to be carried out.

This is why if a person came to church with foul language, they ought to learn how to speak with a sanctified tongue. If one came to church dressed inappropriately, they ought to learn how a true believer ought to dress. If they came bound in sin, they ought to learn how to live free of their sin because the church carries truth to set them free.

This is because there should be a difference between a believer who doesn't fellowship and one who fellowships.
