Topic : If Thou Wouldest Believe

John 11:40 “Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”

Jesus from preaching returns to Bethany where his friend Lazarus had died. The Bible shows us that Mary his sister, who had anointed Jesus' feet with ointment came running to Jesus telling him; 'your friend is dead four days and even stinks.'

Jesus responded to her and said, 'didn’t I tell you if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?' Notice two things here; Firstly, that Mary was the lady who had anointed the feet of Jesus. Secondly, Jesus had given her his word. You must understand, God does not change his word. If he promised, he will fulfill it especially to those who obey him.

There is no man that ever believed God that was disappointed. Those who believe, see the glory of God.

If there is a promise of God in your life and you know what God told you to do; simply believe you will see the hand of God in your life. Stick to what God spoke to you. The problem with many people is that they forget or stop doing what they know they ought to do. But if you stick to what you are called for, you will never fail.

Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not his benefits. Lord we believe that we will see your glory. AMEN
