When you study the thirteenth chapter of the book Acts, you quickly realize how the gospel turned from the Israelites to the gentile nations. Because they rejected the message of Salvation.

The verse shows that the message of Salvation was spread throughout the region. In our day, Africa seems to be at fore front of the gospel but we worry that another continent might be chosen. That's why for us who are without veil, ought to preach this gospel.
