Topic : Knowing A Time To Serve

2 Kings 5:26, "Elisha said, "Didn't you know I was with you in spirit when that man stepped down from his chariot to greet you? Tell me, is this a time to look after yourself, lining your pockets with gifts?" (MSG)

One of the things that I have observed is difficult for people to discern is the time in which to do certain things in life. Over the course of my small years in life, I have seen men who did things that looked undeniably great, but they did them at the wrong time.

We see from the verse Elisha rebuking Gehazi about a mistake he made in trying to take care of himself. Notice that the prophet Elisha expected Gehazi to know the times in which he was.

Doing God's work is doing your work indirectly.

Any man you see who focuses solely on building his own life, the same will invite certain damnations in his house for not discerning the time. When God is moving, it is important to capture the spirit of the hour.
