A Spiritual Journey

April 6, 2022

Ruth 1:16-17 "And Ruth said, Urge me not to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts me from you." (AMP)

The bible is full of stories of men and women who discovered purpose in each other and have become a basis of christian doctrine. These include; Abraham and Lot, David and Jonathan, Elijah and Elisha, Paul and Titus, Naomi and Ruth. In all these cases, their relationships were divine because they discerned a call upon those they chose to follow.

The verse shows us that Ruth was a mere daughter-in-law who lost her husband but chose to remain loyal to Naomi a Jewish woman. Noting that only death would separate them. this wisdom of Ruth has become a great christian virtue when it comes to fulfilling purpose and destiny.

Men who never discover the people to cleave on in the light of learning, never get anywhere in the history of life.

In modern day history, we have seen a similar pattern in church and scholars. Prophet Uebert Angel and Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, Kathryn Khulman and Benny hinn, Brother A A Allen and R W Shamback. In the accademic circles, we have seen Plato and Aristotle, Socrates and Plato.

These men have all had a great impact on their society simply because they at one time chose to be faithful to another man whom they only met, because they esteemed their leadership and wisdom above their present day circumstances. That's how men are set on a spiritual journey.
