Topic : How To Cultivate A Personal Relationship With God

Acts 10:19 “While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.” (KJV)

Salvation is not a religion; its more of a relationship with God. This is where most believers find difficulty. Most Christians think as long as I do a list of things I have seen others do before me, I will grow in God. While the whole time all he requires is a personal relationship.

The scripture shows us Peter, a man who had a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. In so much that when men came to seek him from Cornelius. He already had been informed by the Holy Spirit. What an experience! This is the kind of life a true servant of God ought to have.

A relationship with God is cultivated by constant communion with the Holy Spirit and a deep desire to honor him.

Peter had a choice: to continue doubting the vision or believe that its God who spoke to him. Many people hear the voice of God yet do not have the discipline to honor him. The difference between a religious man and a man of the spirit is his honor for the voice of God.
